Transfer Information
TRANSFER BETWEEN PROGRAMS OF STUDY

Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute may permit transfer between programs of study. This transfer must take place only in the fall and spring semesters and within the first week of instruction. The Vice-President of Career and Technical Education and the instructors involved must approve any request for transfer between programs. Permission to transfer will also depend upon the number of students currently enrolled in the desired program.

TRANSFER OF CREDITS

Under certain circumstances, Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute will accept transfer of credits from another institution. Students requesting transfer of credits must furnish an official sealed transcript along with course descriptions from previous schools. The Vice-President of Career and Technical Education will then ensure the institution is accredited by a regionally or nationally recognized agency. The affected program's instructor(s) will then evaluate the correlation between course descriptions to determine if the course(s) are similar enough to allow transfer of credit. If the Vice-President of Career and Technical Education and instructor(s) agree, transfer of credits may be allowed. However, the transfer of credits will not exceed a total of twelve (12) credit hours and only those with a letter grade of "C" or above will be considered. Grades earned in transfer courses are not considered in calculating grade point averages.

*NOTE: Transfer of credits will not be accepted for the Emergency Medical Technician, Practical Nursing, and Tractor Trailer Driving Programs.

CREDIT FOR PREVIOUS TRAINING OR EXPERIENCE

Persons with previous training or experience in their vocational objective may be granted advanced standing if approved by the Administration and instructor(s) of the program in which the student is enrolled. The student must furnish evidence, request evaluation, and may be required to take proficiency examinations in order to receive this credit. No more than twelve (12) credit hours of credit will be granted to qualified students. The Veterans Administration and other financial aid offices are notified of previous credit when applicable.

*NOTE: Credit for previous training or experience will not be accepted for the Emergency Medical Technician, Practical Nursing, and Tractor Trailer Driving Programs.

Assessment Testing is given on Wednesdays at 9:00 am on the EACC campus.  A state issued photo ID (example: Driver's License) and appointment is required for all assessment testing.
