Mission Statement

The mission of the Automotive Service Technology Program at Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute is to provide the training necessary for students to be competitive in the workforce by strengthening the basic, occupational, communication, and technical skills required to become economically self-sufficient or to use acquired training as a foundation to higher education.

Welcome to the Automotive Service Technology Program. Do you enjoy tinkering under the hood of your vehicle? Would you like to pursue a career in the automotive industry? Then the Automotive Service Technology Program at Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute is for YOU!

This program will get you on the right path toward becoming an ASE Certified Master Technician. Your time will be spent acquiring knowledge and experience in engine repair, automotive transmission/transaxle, manual drive train and axles, suspension and service, brakes, electrical/electronic systems, heating and air conditioning, and engine performance.

Throughout the course this program, your time will be divided between the classroom and the shop. In the shop, you will gain hands-on experience in repairing all mechanical aspects of a vehicle from bumper to bumper. Individuals bring their vehicles to us to be "fixed"; this offers the opportunity for you to obtain experience on troubleshooting "real life" problems found in most automotive shops. The classroom is equipped with training software that will allow you an "inside view" of the internal workings of a vehicle.

The career opportunities are not limited to just technician positions in a shop setting. You may decide to pursue a position as a shop foreman, service advisor, service manager, parts sales and service person, or you could even open a business where you'll be the boss.

If you would like more information on the Automotive Service Technology Program, please come by, call, or send an e-mail.
