Mission Statement

The mission of the Residential Construction/Carpentry Program at Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute is to provide the training necessary for students to be competitive in the workforce by strengthening the basic, occupational, communication, and technical skills required to become economically self-sufficient or to use acquired training as a foundation to higher education.

The Residential Construction/Carpentry program offered at Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute is challenging but very rewarding.

We understand that everyone may not have the ambition or the talent to master all the different specialty trades associated with the construction industry. Don't worry! We will help you identify your individual talents. With this knowledge, we can help guide you in the right direction of a specialty area in the construction trade.

Instructor Biography - Mike Bumgarner

As far back as I can remember, I have always been around or involved in the construction industry. After over 41 years of experience in the construction trade, I have had the opportunity to work in many of the various fields related to residential construction such as: plumbing, electrical, concrete, drafting, general contracting, sheet rock, painting, cabinet making, and I am presently a master instructor at Crowley's Ridge Technical Institute. Instructing the Residential Construction/Carpentry program allows me to share my knowledge and experience with individuals who have the desire to work with their hands.
